InfoQ 2022 Year In Review Podcast

Last December, InfoQ’s Lead Editors sat down to conduct their annual ‘Year in Review’ podcast, where they highlight key trends from 2022 and speculate on what 2023 might bring. Some of the key topics explored included: the benefits of architecture decision records (ADRs), the role of Staff Plus engineers, treating platforms as a product, the importance of sustainability and green IT, and the need to be deliberate with culture design.

QCon New York Returns to Brooklyn (June 13-15); Sponsorships Now Open

Track abstracts and hosts for the the 17th annual QCon London (March 27-29) have been confirmed and published. Some of this year’s track themes include:

  • Architectures You’ve Always Wondered About - The biggest software systems on the planet need sophisticated architectures, deliberately and carefully designed to support true planet-scale, along with high availability, durability, security, and many other concerns. (Hosted by Matt Turner, Software Engineer @Tetrateio and Co-Founder for Istio London)

  • Performance: Designing and Tuning - Getting the most out of hardware is important to save money on cloud workloads and also for sustainability. In this track, we'll look at ways to design software to make the most of modern CPU and memory architectures, as well as tools and techniques to find performance bottlenecks.
